Send her application in the day ur PD becomes current (it may take many years unless congress passes some law) it is highly unlikely that they will approve ur application in one day. PD is Mar 2005

I was about to send the e-mail and then I decided to clarify this before jumping on to it.
I am not sure if I am asking the right question, but I am just curious what is the point in sending same e-mails to the editor of the newspaper ? From my experience in talking to them, they seems to be looking for issues and when you have something valid they print. Also a single e-mail from IV talking about us (on behalf of 6000 of us) and the issues we are facing would have sufficed ? Right ? or I am missing something ? I know e-mail as faxes work for political campaign to show numbers but not seen it in news media ?

I wonder whether someone knowledgeable could create a thread (or add to one that exists) about this mess, mechanisms that led to it and how it is going to affect the slaves, pintos and the rest (of iV) in the next 12 months? Just imagine Bear Stearns which has a head quarters building in NYC worth $1 billion was sold for $236 Mil. Yankees pay A-Rod more than that. This will tell you how the valuation of derivatives has depleted cash flow and liquidity of a wall street titan which had stood through the great depression, 2 world wars, market crashes in the 1970's, 87, 01 and recessions in between.
Google "Long term Capital management (LTCM)" and study their history you will see what derivatives are capable of. Warren buffet calls derivatives "Financial instruments of mass destruction".

Dude I think you are thinking too much of it. USCIS is an organization that goes by a process. If they have a pending application, they have to process it. they decided in the summer of 2007 that they will hire additional contractors and process all the pending applications so that they reach their goal of 4 months processing times of 485.
Why will they waste their resources on your $325 dollars again dude? Is the amount that high that they will reopen the case at the time of finally alloting a visa number, and spend the money/resources on reviewing the case again?
Whatever be the PD, USCIS is all set for a month processing time of 485 by Sept 2009. All cases filed before Jun of this year should have been either pre-adjudicated or denied by that date.

Thought I'd offer an alternate view on the AC21 letters. I switched jobs after my I-485 had been pending 180 days, and my attorneys advised me to NOT send in an AC21 letter. They said, "Chances are, you will not get an RFE, and if you do, you can send in the AC21 letter at that time. If you do send in an AC21 letter, you will definitely get an RFE". These attorneys had always given me excellent advice in the past, so I have not submitted an AC21 letter.

Ask your lawyer, what happpens when previous employer revokes 140 petition. The answer will be, "As USCIS does not know that you ported off, they will send a NOID and we will respond to the NOID. If they send a denial by mistake, we will reopen your case using MTR"

The following statistics reflect a steady increase in the number of I-485 applications (including family-based and other cases) during the months before the July VB fiasco hit the roof as is shown in the following table:

It is not possible to have 600K total pending cases (= EB + Family + Asylum + Refugee + ...) cases because there were 1,275,795 pending cases in March (according to Ombudsman) AND it is not possible to give 600K+ GCs in 3 months: EB + Family = 140K + 226K = 366K.
So my understanding is that there were 600K pending EB cases in June. Does family-based GC application have I-485 stage?

Some more info that may help you. Once you the get exact reason for denial and if it is because of AC21 wrongful denial then file Form to Ombudsman and attach your employment letter with clear job description showing you work in same/similar classification, explaining that you fulfilled AC21 conditions and that your I-485 was wrongfully denied along with your MTR receipt (once you file MTR).
Please note this is from what I have read other posts on this board and not from my personal experience. Also IV would also be able to guide you in resolving this situation.
