Mark Kirkoreiean's (or whatever his name is) thesis is that not everyone who gets a green card through EB is a genius, and that is not good for America.
Along same lines, I would like to ask, Mark or whoever in anti-immigration camp,
there are only 1M (may be little less) skilled workers looking for immigration and you have problem with that because all of them are not THE BRIGHTEST one, okay... well first understand, for THE BRIGHTEST we have EB1 which is working great. Now in America there is a lot of work which needs experienced and highly skilled worker and we have EB2 for that, apart from that we still have a lot of work which requires hitech skilled worker and for that we have Eb3. So by the definition system has already identified the need and have representation for those.
And secondly you have problem with those who came legally and are highly skilled and have followed all the rules since day 1, counts less that 1 million, you are not willing to give them GC on other hand there are 12M (actually 20 M) who can't even write their names in English and everybody is ready to give them GC even the president of US is ready.
Doesn't that give signal that US is pro illegal and anti-legal immigration.... think about it

Sorry to say, but sending mails of unresolved issues to NY Consulate is a waste of time.
I have sent them mails every week for 2 month (yes, I did that religiously) thinking that I would clog up their system, but I guess they had the last laugh! :-)
But hey everybody, pls do go ahead and follow the process!

I agree.
Citizens want to either start consulting companies and get H1B employees or want to stop more Indians coming. More Indians mean less jobs for their children.
Green card holders do not even want to be friends with H1B.
H1B do not want to be friends with F1.
H1 girls want to be married to citizen or Green card holders. Or someone with EB2 PD.
Green card IV members do not even want to come back here.

I see your point, I would still prefer browsing and having migranes than paying attention and doing all that the wife says (Impossible exists in one placec for sure-just try doing what she tells you for once:D)

However, if you cannot find someone to go with you, then go alone. Many of the meetings we do in Washington, sometimes we get appointments from 2 or 3 offices at the same time. In that case we split up and only one person goes to meet the lawmakers or staffers. But we cannot lose opportunities or miss opportunities.
So go alone if there is no one else in your district to go with you.

I understand your situation as i was there once. If you dont have insurance than your options are very limited. if you live in dallas county parkland hospital is your only choice. Parkland has a network of several clinics around DFW area. Every clinic has financial assistance department. You can visit any of those and they will setup a payment plan which is reasonable based on your income. You will visit them for all prenatal care and when the time comes for delivery it will be taken to parkland. and parkland is a very good hospital as well. beside parkland several hospitals also offer cash plans like RHD memorial at 635 but they will charge you close to 4k just for delivery day and if its a normal one. you will have to do prenatal at your own.

-- Is there any real example on any internet forum, website or blog where someone faced problem in citizenship because they left their sponsor employer before 6 months expired? Do not find opinion but a real proof.
-- Can any lawyer provide a case example to illustrate the above. We can go into detail, talk to USCIS and seek clarification.
-- Is there anywhere in the law, memo or rulebook that says 6 month employment is needed after getting green card.

Starting July 16th, 2007, labor certification has a 60 day validity period. Meaning, a I-140 petition needs to be filed within 60 days from labor approval date....If immigrant visa numbers are unavailable (dates retrogressed), you wont be able to file your I-140/I-485 concurrently but you can file your I-140 petition irrespective of your priority date as long as you have a labor approved. You dont have to apply for your labor again and again....Its just that, once you get your I-140 approved, you will have to wait for dates to become current to file I-485...

Should we be worried about the DREAM ACT?
As far as I know dream act does not offer anything for legal kids. Its all about kids of undocumented workers.
I am not quite sure why should I support this bill. Unless this bill includes age out protections for legal kids or legal kids get the same benefits as kids of undocumented workers, I don't think many people would support this.
Please let me know if you know any provisions that help us or hurt us . I am open to change the mind ...

I tried to book tickets on makemytrip for luftansa yesterday; After going through all passport details etc- for over 2 hours checking etc the agent coolly told me that transit visa is required for advance parole holders. If you carefully see the regulations they mention "2 Years" permit not "1 year" validity of Advance parole. I also heard stories of multiple people blocked from boarding luftansa on advance parole. So i switched and booked on emirates instead. Apparently this rule is either enforced or not depends on the discretion of luftansa personel. So be carefull if you are on advance parole- Looks like germans also trying to get on the Visa Fee pie.
No transit visa required. I got an identical response when I checked with the german consulate in november. Nevertheless, I did not take transit visa, and with visa stamping expired in March 2010, I travelled with AP on Lufthansa from IAD to BLR in December, and returned in Jan 2011, and nobody even mentioned the word "transit" anywhere along the route. Lufthansa staff is very knowledgeable about AP, both in Wash.Dulles and BLR. In fact, In BLR I saw that even Air France also does not require transit visa for Paris and allowed people with AP to board without transit visa. So folks, dont waste time and money on transit visa. Nothing is going to happen , unless you miss your connecting flight in Frankfurt, in which case you will not get to stay in a hotel and would have to spend the transit time in the airport.

Reality is DREAM act is directly connected to HISPANIC votes for Democrats, EB community doesnt have any VOTING rights, neither they get any support from the folks who are already GC/UScitizenship holders.
Once people are out of this GC mess, they all start talking about anti immigration and that's the reality, u go to any indian community around and see how much support you have from those folks who have GC/US citizenship.
That brings a new point for IV leadership. In line with HISPANIC movement, can we take/seek help from various associations of India/China like the ones in link Indian Associations in the US : NRI Desi Associations in USA : India Social, Cultural, Religious Organisations (http://www.thokalath.com/North-America/Indo-American-Community.php)
