Please guys, I understand the frustration we're all going through but do not compare it to what happened to the Jews under the Nazis. We are indeed in a bad situation but comparing it to genocide is too much.

My wife went to India last month on AP via Frankfurt without any visa. She faced no problems while going and coming back.
While coming back, at the Indian airports, they do check for the visa/ap/gc before they let you aboard.
I guess the confusion part is that the consulate's version of the visa requirements do not match the visa requirements enforced at the airports.

We emphasized the following points
1. We are not talking about H1 increase.
2. Reverse Brain drain impacts.
3. Outsourcing economies gaining edge because of Americas poor legal immigration policies.
4. Delays in normal processing.
5. Impact of Backlogs on America competitiveness.
6. Impact of Backlogs on immigrations careers and their contribution to the industry.
7. Details of Presidents State of union Address for legal immigrants.
8. Statistical details which have shown immigration does not affect Americas growth but helps growth of America.
9. Requests of immigration voice.
We quoted our personal life experience and the hindrances we encounter in our career growth.
I have to say the points were observered with a positive note. and the staff said that these will be conveyed to the Senator.
He also suggested, to contact the media, which we are doing and also told,
he was also aware of immigration voice and its good doings.
He also told the Senator voted in favour of CIR 2006.
He suggested having a direct meeting with Senator would definetly help, as it would have a better impact, but he said that it would be easy to get an appointment of the Senator in DC. At this point, we have requested the immigration voice DC members whether they can have an meeting with the Senator and we can arrange the same with this staff member.
He also requested, if any of our member are meeting with the same Senator office staff in different location(Detroit, Grand Rapids,Escabana etc), please refer this staff name for continuity reasons.

I will be sending a Thank you letter soon to this Staff.

Not related to this thread but I did not want to open a new thread for this question..
As you can see I am EB2-I (info above) and am waiting in line for my turn but I am just wondering if L1 route to GC is quicker? If so then how?
Not that I am trying to do it because I can not :) but I know someone who just got his GC via L1 in matter of months and here we all EB guys are waiting..

I have taken mine and my wife's pic using digital camera, and took the card to the walmart. They have the software where you can set the passport size. 6 photos printout costed us 30 cents each. If you have digital camera take 640X480 photo with good light. This is the best option instead of going to walgreens which chargs 2 photos 8 dollars.
USCIS is very particular about the background , shadows and lighting. Unless you have a near professional lighting in your home , you are taking a risk. The flash light you use in camera creates a shadow on the subject and/or in the back ground. That is not acceptable. Unless you have a decent camera and you know what you are doing , it is very easy to over expose in close-up shots. Be very careful.

And also USCIS would have initially implementecd this for a good reason and they would not have terminated it if they wouldnt have found that many companies were misusing it ......

By law Employer is required to pay for your labor. You cannot pay for your labor application. Employer can ask you to pay for your I140 which cost around 400 but if you go for premium processing you can pay 1000 extra. There is no other cost involved. To port your date your lawyer sends a letter to USCIS requesting them to consider your EB2 I140 instead of your Eb3 140 which results in your successfuly porting with your priority date still being maintained from old labor
I am in May 2003 EB3I boat. My employer is now trying to file my case in EB2. I have a master degree and 5 yrs experience prior to my EB3 filing in May 2003. The questions is regarding what to file and cost.
Do we need to file 1. PERM 2. I140 3. I485 all over again ? If so here are the fee for each step 1. 2750 2. 475 (1250) 3. 1010 each(2000 for applicant and spouse. The ones in () are legal fees. Is this sound reasonable ?

well then you will always rely on your experience and skills, there is a reason skills are categorized as junior staff and senior admins/developers/mgrs etc.
