I don't know how to open a thread to run a poll to track the number of people ready to send flowers to white house/president to highlight our case to buy houses if there is a a provision to approve GCs on a fast-track basis. With a substantial fast track fee (>4000 dollars) and 20% down payment toward house payment, we have a strong case. If we get hundreds of people ready to send to flowers, may be IV can make it an action item.

See for your self what Pre-Adjudication means. Its literally conditional approval......
Pre-Adjudication is just a work flow method and not a policy. There is a high chance that a pre-adjudicated case may just get an approval when the visa numbers are available. But, who knows, they may have reasons to still issue an RFE requesting employment verification based on certain triggers such as change of address, over a year since case was pre-adjudicated etc.
So we may not be able to say for certain that all Pre-adjudicated cases will be approved when visa numbers are available.

I got your point and that of logiclife's and I agree....there is no need for them to mention the illegals (a cheap attempt on the part of WSJ). I was merely pointing out that WSJ technically does not say that we (high tech workers) are illegal.

I would only say "Hang On", or move on if you can. A lot of people in same situations, never want to discuss issues openly.
Patience does help, and maybe all the good is stored for future.
Most important is how you deal with stress associated with racial slurs, difference in treatment, and all the above issues. This has direct impact on health and many people in these conditions are victims of stress.
The h1b - GC situation is well known to everyone and they know you are indentured, some managers are called problem solvers (they pretend to hear ur voice, help you from their side and get the work done and try to ease pressure off you if they have an option), whereas some managers are called problem creators (they add additional pressure on you and make u miserable so that they get the work done). The reason companies support their American workers who involve in racial slurs is to avoid issues. It is easy to kick you out and blame you rather than catering to ur problem.

Theoratically what you say is correct. Once the revised bulletin came out people are not supposed to file / send out mails in this matter. However, what the AILF is going to fight is the "revised bulletin". They are going to fight that uscis cannot publish a revised bulletin at such a short notice and if they (AILF) wins, this revised bulletin is nullified and July will become open to every one with LC, right??

BTW, I want to use this opportunity to thank IV members virtual55, jkays94, and cpolisetti for setting this whole ball in motion.

I thought Obama administration has practically stopped all kinds of enforcement activities. For example mandating e-verify on all employment. Such a move would not punish the undocumented directly, but only the employers. But Obama administration is filing law suit against States who have mandatory e-verify.
Undocumented Immigration can be solved within a week. But no politician or anti-immigrant wants to talk about it.
SIMPLY PUNISH THE EMPLOYERS EMPLOYING UNDOCUMENTED.
Just put some US citizens who hire undocumented in Jail and then nobody will hire undocumented. All undocumented problem will be solved. But nobody wants to enforce laws on US Citizens. But everyone wants to enforce laws on undocumented because they do not see these undocumented as human beings.
Instead of deporting 14 million undocumented, and wasting money on this. Just punish 1 thousand US citizens for employing undocumented. I am sure you will see some hidden anti-immigrants being jailed too. The greedy employers promote undocumented immigration by employing them, exploiting them and paying less salary. Why not punish the employers.
No anti immigration site wants to actively work on this action item. WHY?

It needed 60 votes to pass I think and not a simple majority. In any event, i am not sure if it would have thru since it is an amendment and the main defence bill failed.
But this is a huge eye opener, to see who-is-who of democrats voting against this.
On second thoughts, may be it is expected becuase they are about illegal immigrants and republicans are about big business atleast according to popular perception.
I think it sends a clear signal as to who our friends are when it comes to legal immigration.

We can also look at the possibility of mass drive towards bone marrow doner registration, Blood donation drive, Eye donation, etc.
Also possible is continue with Youtube videos. I think the reason for low response a) laziness b) doing alone may not be exciting and motivating enough.
Suggestion. We do the youtube videos in groups of three/four. It would be fun activity and will help to build bond amongst IV members.

In the past the rules used to be different, I have a friend his first child has a OCI card, he had to settle for a PIO card for the second child. Again I would strongly suggest to you to apply in person for the PIO card if any of the consulates are in accessible distance for you, good news is that they are open on US holidays. I was able to obtain the PIO card at home within a week for my child after applying in person.
